Articles in journals

Scientist have a very narrow sense of happiness, shall we say that? Probably not all but most of them are, not excluded me.
I am talking about articles or papers that published in the high impact factor journals. Being a student in a laboratory which very dedicated towards paper's publication, I can feel the pressure. We are push to come out with are data that will be used as a conclusion and submitted for publication. I am not complaining though.
As a junior scientist in my university back home, the number of papers surely one of the aspect that higher administration committee will used to evaluate if they wanted to apoint anyone to the higher position. But that's not my end target. It was just the satisfaction that I felt when I read my article online.
I love it when rewards come together with satisfaction. (*-*)

The rain - happy mother's day!

Spring is the time when flowers start blooming and the birds singing. Sun will shines brightly and green grass spread beautifully across the lawn. But then again, once in awhile the rain will pour down heavily throughout the day.

And so my life. I love rain as it provide water to the earth. Scientifically human body is made of 70 to 80 percent of water. That's the reason water is so important. Alright! Back to the original matter, I am actually using the rain as the metaphor. In life, there are happy and sad moment. Rain is usually associate with sadness.

But I really love rain. It just bring me back to the moment of naivety. As a child I used to play under the rain. My brothers and me made small boats from papers and let it flowed with the water. We sang. We danced. Our parents would then scolded us for playing under the rain, worried that we would fall sicked. Sometimes we were. My mom would prepared something hots as snack. I still love the black coffee and simmering tapioca with grind coconut. I missed the moment.

Happy mother's day. Happy parents day. Thank God for giving me the opportunity to live in this world and to receive the biggest love of all, mother's love.
