Changing paradigm is a term used to motivate people to look from a different perspective and build a new idea. Imagination is a part of the process. That`s one of the reason anybody with high imaginative ability could remember easily.
Forming an imagination requires a lot of hard work, the least to say. But, it is a work of mind, knowledge and experiences. However, to create a new idea is not very difficult. Try brainstorming, a work to generate new ideas. It could be the un-believable ideas but in brainstorming session, it is allowed. Reason, crazy ideas sometimes is a new platform for a new paradigm which can be an `out of box` way of thinking.
So, never say never to any ideas before thinking about it thoroughly. Just look at the `look east` idea. Tun Dr Mahathir surely would have a lot to say about this campaign, though it was started more than 20 years ago. I can understand his opinion after I`ve been here, in Japan, by myself.
